Every new drop worth hearing — New Music Friday and this week's breakout hits, refreshed automatically so you never miss a release.
New songs land every Friday, and the best of them are right here. These are official Spotify new-release playlists that update on their own — bookmark this page and check back each week for the freshest tracks across every genre.
Friday is release day almost everywhere. Since July 2015 the record industry has used one global release day, so new singles and albums go live on Friday in every country instead of on different weekdays in different markets.
New Music Friday is Spotify's editorial answer to that: a playlist rebuilt every Friday from the week's releases and chosen by editors rather than by play counts. It is deliberately broad — pop next to rap, country, dance and rock — so treat it as a sampler of the week, not as a genre playlist.
Hot Hits USA is where those releases go if they stick: an editorial playlist of the songs that are current in the United States right now, whether they came out last Friday or a few months ago.
If you use Spotify, two personal playlists do the same job for your own taste: Release Radar, refreshed every Friday with new music from artists you follow or play, and Discover Weekly, refreshed every Monday with songs you have not heard yet. They live in your account, so they cannot be embedded here — but together with the lists above they cover both what is new for everyone and what is new for you. For new releases in one style, start from the genre list.
